Concept of the Month: “Every service responsibility should be matched by an equal service authority, with the scope of such authority well defined.”

Discussion emphasized clarity of roles, responsibility, and authority as vital to AA’s service structure.

Major expense: reimbursement to Helen for Remote Communities outreach.
Credit Union One account to be closed; point-of-sale setup in progress for Area Election Assembly.

GSR Reports

Totem Group (Teresa): Considering ending hybrid format; next business meeting Oct. 28.

Group (Allison): Providing coffee for Election Assembly; strong attendance.

Alaska Statewide Telephone Meeting (Helen): Ongoing meetings Sun/Mon/Thu at 5:30 PM; planning a literature table for the Assembly.

Group (Dahr): Attendance 8–40; providing Assembly snacks (half healthy, half not).

Southside Special (Lucy): Planning Thanksgiving dinner; attendance fluctuates but strong Fridays.

O’Malley Group (Mary): Attendance ranges from 5–25; strong core group.

Plus 24 Group (Steve): Attendance ~50; recruiting volunteers for Assembly.

Queer Ideas of Fun (Sophia): Handling Sunday morning meeting and decorations at Assembly; planning Queer Conference August 2026.

Glacier Group (April): Wednesday/Saturday meetings; steady attendance and participation.

Corrections: Vacant (potential volunteer “Dave” being cleared).

Remote Communities (Helen): Expressed gratitude for service; planning future trips.

PI/CPC: Vacant (also vacant at Area level).

Grapevine/Literature (Eric): Will host literature table at Assembly; Star Group assisting.

DCM Report (Cynthia): Attended Area 02 meeting; continued collaboration with Web Servant to update District website. Encouraged saving for PRASSA 2026 (Hawaii). Attended Concept Study Group; distributed flyers and managed deposits. Encouraged all groups to consider service involvement.

Election Assembly Volunteers: Positions open for setup, cleanup, and door greeters (Friday–Sunday).

Teresa volunteered for Sunday morning.

Saturday expected to be the busiest day.

Hotel discount for Assembly attendees extended through Oct. 30.
